I've been exploring Mexican metal bands that I want to add to my battle vest. The reason I'm doing this is because I'm a metalhead in Wisconsin of Mexican descent that wants to present my heritage. Brujeria and particularly this album fits the bill perfectly for my tastes.
I'm aware Jello Biafra from the Dead Kennedys was already gone by the time this album was released but his influence shows. I've certainly fell in love with this band and how faithful this album is to the grindcore sound. Easily this album shows that Brujeria is the Mexican Napalm Death and having songs relevant to Hispanic issues like immigration are there.
I know very little Spanish but I can easily rock to this and I'm sure if I shared this with my Honduran brother-in-law, he would more than relate. 10/10

Maxico에서도 유명한 악명 높은 테러집단의 멤버가 모인 밴드로 살인, 강도, 강간, 마약 등등 범죄 중 가장 중한 범죄를 아무렇지 않게 해대며 인종차별과 Maxico인들의 긍지를 내세운 그들은 멤버를 구성해서 실제 범죄집단인 동명의 밴드 이름으로 진짜 활동을 했으면 대단하겠지만(?) 초창기 이들이 활동 했을 때는 저런 컨셉으로 당시 Label인 "Roadrunner"에서 이미지메이킹으로 만든 밴드이다.
근데 단순히 컨셉을 떠나서 Line up 또한 인지도 있는 멤버들로 구성 되어 있어서 또 한번 놀라게 됐다. Fear Factory의 멤버인 'Dino Cazares'와 Faith No More의 'Billy Gould'을 주축으로 유명 연주자들이 참여하는 수준의(?) 밴드이다.
사실 음악을 까보면 별꺼 없는 흔한 사운드에 Vocal의 그냥 찌껄이는 정도로 선동성에만 어울리는, 그리고 구성은 초창기 Hardcore Punk와 Grindcore의 발생시점에 맞는 사운드를 들려준다.
근데 단순히 컨셉을 떠나서 Line up 또한 인지도 있는 멤버들로 구성 되어 있어서 또 한번 놀라게 됐다. Fear Factory의 멤버인 'Dino Cazares'와 Faith No More의 'Billy Gould'을 주축으로 유명 연주자들이 참여하는 수준의(?) 밴드이다.

자기네들이 알카에다직원? 흉내내다가 팬들이 하도 이상하게 여겨서 뒷조사 떠서 피어 펙토리 멤버까지 포함한 마니아들을 강태공한 위대한 밴드 브루헤리나의 1집입니다.노선은 그라인드코어에 충실한 전형적인 내달리고 엇박자와 함께 아주 짧은 트랙이 그라인드코어의 특징을 잘 나타내어 줍니다.보이스가 그로울링격이 아니라서 듣기 아주 편안?하다는 밴드인 브루헤리아의 1집에서 가장 돋보이는건 특정한 밴드노선이 없으면서도 리프가 크게 변하지 않는다는 점입니다.
