As the gates were closed behind/ people stood and stared
Observed by a distance/ because no-one dared
To come closer/ as they had heard

High in the tower the steward kept his wiev
Surrounded by his women who did what he asked to do
From the window his hand waved a greet

So the servants showed the way and opened the door
