Every song on this album is interesting, good, and unique in it's own way. I try to never skip any of the songs on this album. It is truly a masterpiece. |
Too Bad You're Beautiful (Reissued) (2005) [Boxed set] One of the best Metalcore albums of all time. The vocal performances (both of them) are absolutely incredible. The guitar and bass work on this album is also really fucking great. |
Slipknot (10th Anniversary Edition) (2009) [Boxed set] I've listened to this album the whole way through countless times, each song is so good that I never have to skip a track. |
This album only has one kinda mid & skippable song on it "No Trivia" but other than that every single one of the other songs is a 9.5/10 or a 10/10. It's just that fucking good, it's almost equal to their first album. I also really love the blending of bone-crunching levels of really fucking heavy parts with sweet & emotional melodic parts, that really makes this album stand out for me. |
I absolutely love this album! Howard Jones' vocals on this album just hit different. And many of the song's lyrics hit differently, I also absolutely fucking love all the guitar riffs on this album, which really help it with it's heaviness. |
Blackwater Park (2001) This album is truly amazing, the vocal and instrumental performances get me every time. Mikael Åkerfeldt's huge vocal range & outstanding guitar skills make this a truly solid work of art. |
We Are Not Your Kind (2019) "Nero Forte" is my favorite song of all time, but other than that, this album contains many interesting, good songs. |
Ascendancy (2005) This album is absolutely amazing. Almost all of the songs hit right, this is truly a masterpiece. Every single Guitar Solo on this album is performed at a masterclass level of perfection. |
All Hope Is Gone (Special Edition) (2008) [Boxed set] Slipknot's most underrated and overhated album, the only thing that brings it down is "Gehenna" which is they're only bad song, "Vendetta" is also kinda mid and boring/uninteresting, leading me to usually skip it, but other than those two this album is full of fucking bangers. |
This is another great Killswitch Engage album, most of the songs are memorable and replayable. The special edition also includes many songs that I love that weren't in the original edition. |
I really love the Bass performance on this album, probably the best Bass playing ever. I also really love the vocals on this album, which are perfect when combined with the lyrics. |
I really love this album, every song is well written and well performed, it's interesting and very emotional; which I love. Brian Wile's vocals are also pretty solid & memorable. |
5FDP's Best album, I love many of the songs on here, although I really love the songs that I love on this album, so much of the rest of it feels boring, repetitive, and uninteresting, that's not to say that I don't absolutely fucking love this album, which I obviously love this, all I'm saying is that it's far from perfect. |
Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses (Australian Tour Edition) (2005) [Boxed set] Slipknot's third album is definitely their most experimental, and most of the styles and techniques they experimented with turned out really well. Over all this album is really well done, and unique. With each song sounding distinct & very different from the last. |
I really like all the complex lyrical and vocal parts that they incorporated into this album, Howard Jones' vocals are still outstanding, but this is sadly the last album he was featured in. |
I absolutely love the vocal performance on this album, the whole thing just goes absolutely fucking hard, and doesn't hold back,. |
Freddy vs. Jason: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (2003) [Compilation] The album that introduced me to "Slipknot", "Killswitch Engage", and "From Autumn To Ashes". |
BMFV's Best album, hands down, no argument to be made here. I will add that I don't like any of the tracks after "Room 409" I also don't like Tracks 5 & 6. But everything else on this album is perfection. |
5FDP's fourth album takes a much more aggressive tone than their first three albums, and the rereleased version of this album (The one that merges part one, two, bonus tracks, and Purgatory) contains rerecorded versions of many of the songs featuring other artists, a thing that I quite liked about this album. |
.5: The Gray Chapter (2014) Slipknot's fifth album takes a much more somber tone, that I really like, and many of the songs stick out to me and are very replayable. |
Meteora (2003) Linkin Park's second album is definitely better than their first, each song sounds different, and many of them are captivating in ways that "Hybrid Theory" is not. |
5FDP's Second album is far from perfect like their first album, yet it still manages to hold up, and be great and interesting. I love a few of the songs on this album a lot, which is probably why it's so high up on this list. |
The End, So Far (2022) Slipknot's worst album is still an amazing album, I love a few of the songs on this album. Especially Hive Mind, that song is a fucking banger. |
FATA's third album seems rushed and strange, but in the end, most of the songs have some replayability, and the heavier tracks are absolutely awesome. |
Hybrid Theory (2000) Linkin Park's first album is a great Nu Metal album, and still holds up to this day. |
Holding a Wolf by the Ears (Special Edition) (2008) [Boxed set] FATA's fourth album sees the band without Benjamin Perri, the lack of his vocals bring this album down somewhat, but many of the better songs manage to hold this album upright. |
I really like this album, the guitar, bass, & drums really do a great job at making this album incredibly heavy, while the distinct vocals keep it memorable. |
Rust in Peace (1990) Simply put: this album is an absolute fucking masterpiece! |
The second half of the two-parter is almost as good as the first part. The songs on this album sound sadder and lose some of their aggressive tone, but although this album is very different than it's first half, it's still a great album. |
Ride the Lightning (1984) Metallica's best album. Is there really any more that I need to say.
