Eternal Devastation Comments

Only a year after their debut album, Destruction was ready to hit us again with their new release "Eternal Devastation". The riffs sounds pretty catchy and dominant and everything else is in total subservience. Schmier's vocals are quite high-pitched at times, annoying after a while & monotonous. Production is slightly terrible, that the record's value and brilliancy really is ruined by it. There is a huge imbalance between the volume of the guitars and the drums.

리프와 연주가 살아있다. 매우 몰아치면서도 아름다운 연주가 같이 들려온다. 매우 훌륭한 앨범!!

100점을 안 줄 이유가 없지

이전에는 더 날 것 느낌나는 1집과 EP를 이 앨범보다 좋아했는데 취향이 바뀌었다. 좀 더 노련해지고 성숙하지만 찌들지는 않은 이 앨범이 이전 앨범보다 더 좋다. 듣는 내가 바뀐 거지 이분들의 초기의 앨범들의 훌륭함의 정도에 우열같은 건 없는 것 같다.

스래쉬 명반들이 쏟아지던 86년도 최고작 중 하나. 면도날로 가르는듯한 기타톤이 특이한... 보통 데스트럭션의 초기 명반을 꼽는다면 예전부터 86년 [Eternal Devastation]과 87년 [Release From Agony]를 드는데, 40년 가까이 앨범을 내고있지만 역시 초기작들이 최고.

Quizá la producción y el sonido final sean mejorables, pero estamos ante un gran album de trash...que fogonazos, que golpes en la cabeza...pelotazo.

녹음상태가 대단히 열악함, 자글자글거리는 기타소리는 초창기 블랙메탈과 매우 유사하며, 한편으론 과거의 빽판을 듣는 느낌, 그래도 꽤 괜찮은 리프로 정통 스레쉬 메탈로서의 측면이 강해짐. 공격성이라는 메탈 본연의 감성에 충실한 점은 높이 살만함

'기타 리프 전개해 나가기' 하나로 모든 것을 일궈내려는 듯한 독일산 스래쉬. 자자했던 명성에 비해 그렇게 좋다고 느끼지 않았던 작품이었습니다. 레코딩 상태도 조악하고 악곡의 전개도 너무 심심하게 펼쳐집니다. 마치 홈메이드 블랙에서나 쓰일것같은 저가 디스토션 감성 드라이브톤으로 계속 끌고가니까 애써 짜놓은 리프들과 연결이 물거품이 되버립니다.

날것,30년이 지났어도 신선한 무엇

Slower, perhaps more technical, but certainly not more entertaining than their debut. Their sound did become more unique here, but I prefer their more straightforward, faster style personally.

리프 장인들이 한땀한땀 깎아낸 디스트록션의 초기 명반. 전기톱같은 기타톤이 아주 매력적이다.

다 필요없다. Confused Mind 이 1곡 만으로도 이미 내 마음은 점령당햇다.

.. 싫어할 수가 없는 형님들이다

정석 그 자체의 리프 .. 날카롭고 파괴적이며 위협적인 느낌이 오직 기타한대로도 충분히 느껴진다. 느낌뿐 아니라 리프짜는 실력도 수준급이다. 하여튼 아주 끝내주는 쓰래시 마스터피스!

잘 설계된 건축물을 사운드로 그대로 옮긴듯한 탄탄함.

인생최고의 메탈 앨범! 버릴 리프가 한개도 없는 무결점 스래쉬메탈이라고 생각한다.. Confused Mind의 마지막 리프는 언제 들어도 소름 돋는 명리프이다!

Curse the Gods!

눈앞에서 희번득대는 피 묻은 식칼.

1,3집은 아직 귀에 안 들어오긴 하다만, 이 앨범은 정말 말로 못할 정도로 진국이다. Schmier의 보컬 평이 안 좋은 것 같지만, 적어도 내 귀에는 이만한 보컬이 없다. 단조로워 보이지만 냉소, 경멸, 자조등 이 앨범이 다루는 모든 심상과 적절히 맞몰린다.

이 엘범을 듣고 오장육부가 썰렸습니다

노래들이 너~~~~~무 좋아서 2곡정도만 더 넣어주셨으면 하는 바램 말곤 불만없다!!!

Man, this is a unique band. Their sophomore album, Eternal Devastation, shows some of the freshest work that Thrash Metal has ever offered. The thrashy riffs, amazing solos with great techniques from time to time, and a distinctive guitar tone that would later be used by Swedes all make this album a great one.
