I have no words to describe the quality of this album. Dan Swanö did an impeccable job on this album. I'm still surprised by the vivid tone of musical brightness in this album whenever I listen to it. This album means a lot to me because it is one of the first albums that made me fall in love with progressive death metal. It's the epitome of brilliant technical death metal.

"Moontower" is Dan Swanö's first creative project after his departure from Edge of Sanity band, whereas he has recorded all the instruments by himself and the record was also produced & engineered by him. Music is combination between Doom/Death Metal and Progressive Rock. Most of the time the keyboard melodies are in the lead and bring most of the flavor in to the music. Album doesn't sound like anything Swanö made before it, or he has done after it.

한 장의 문화유산. 실로 위대한 작품. Edge of Sanity에서 보여준 그 모든것들 위에 군림하는 명반이라 여깁니다. 키보드의 활용은 비슷한것을 시도하는 다른밴드들의 결과물들을 압살하는 적절함을 보여주며, 점층적 구성과 끊임없이 이어지는 연주도 힘을 잃지 않습니다. 멜로디도 환상적. 정신없이 치고박고 쳐달리지않아도 익스트림의 묘미를 제대로 맛볼수있는.

진정한 원맨 앨범.커버까지 본인의 눈이다. 근데 그 1인이 진짜 천재라서 대단한 음악을 보여준다. 데스메탈의 향기를 느낄 수 있는 부분은 기타와 보컬 정도이다. 장르를 따지자면 테크데스보단 프록으로 분류하는 게 더 나을 것 같다.

댄 스와노는 천재임이 틀림없다

못하는게 없는 Dan Swanö의 작품. 사실 꽤나 밝은 분위기를 띄고 있어서 그로울링 보컬만 제외하면 프록 팬이라도 부담없이 들을 수 있는 앨범이라고 생각한다. 음악은 역시나 명불허전을 입증해준다.

따봉! 다른 일반적인 데스메탈들이 무채색이라 하면 이 앨범은 은은하게 푸른색이 입혀져있는듯한 느낌. 깔끔하고 독특하고 레코딩까지 훌륭하다.
