"From the Inside" is a concept album about Cooper's stay in a New York asylum due to his alcoholism. Each of the characters in the songs were based on real people, that Cooper met in the asylum. The songs are full of good ideas created by talented musicians. In 2009, Alice Cooper stated "It was musically one of the best albums I ever did", but I think he has better albums.

Probably my second favorite Alice album ever. Not his hardest rocking but maybe his best lyrics (or Brutal Planet)

다양한 재료들을 가지고 아기자기하게 구성해놓은 컨셉앨범입니다. 앨리스쿠퍼가 알콜중독으로 뉴욕 Sanitarium에서 지내게 된것을 테마로 하고 있으며, 작중에 등장하는 등장인물들은 실제로 그곳에서 만났던 사람들이라고 합니다. 정신병 컨셉답게 커버이미지가 압권인데 자세히 보면 두 눈동자에 비친 모습이 다르네요. 7번의 아름다운 발라드가 인상적입니다.
