I really felt the passion and was impressed by a lot of the songs. It's far from a perfect album, but I think Gary sang in a way that matches the band's vibes perfectly - much better than Van Hagar. Without You and Josephina are total triumphs. The way track 6 started off, I thought it was going to be pointless, but it builds up to a high point very well. A couple of interludes ramble a little, but it's a solid album I want to listen to more.

"Van Halen III" is band's eleventh studio album and first & only studio album to feature lead vocalist Gary Cherone (Extreme). It is also the last to feature bassist Michael Anthony, who only appears on three album's songs while the rest of the bass parts are played by Eddie Van Halen. Album reached No. 4 in the U.S. and achieved gold status, but was commercial disappointment for the band, whose previous four albums had all been chart-topping, multi-platinum sellers.

Idiots who curse music simply with replaced vocals are better off just closing their ears, covering their noses and drowning. In the era of alternative music, this team's music that keeps hard rock's heart beating always makes me kill it. Always respect.
