데뷔앨범 격이라고 하기엔 멤버가 화려한 면이 있는 Shape of Despair의 1집 입니다.Rapture, Finntroll 멤버들의 모여서 했기에 더더욱 화려한 면도 있지만,둠적인 느낌또한 현대적이면서도 특유의 공식이라고 하는 느린 전개가 딱딱한 전개로 될수도 있는 둠메틀의 현대적인 느낌과 여성보컬의 대비속에 한층더 서서히 내려앉는 듯한 곡 흐름이 너무나 좋았습니다.걸정적으로 핀란드 의 대표격인 두 밴드가 만든 핀란드판 둠메틀의 결정체?라고 해도 과언이 아닐정도로 부담이 오지 않는 전개가 인상적이었습니다.

It's a good start, but on later albums their sound evolved into something totally excellent. It's inspiring to see how the band started with a great vision, and then they worked & worked until that vision was improved immensely.

스켑티시즘의 영향아래 있다고 과언이 아닐정도로 음악적인 측면이나 곡의 구성은 상당히 비슷하다. 단지 다른 점이란 스켑티시즘과 같은 차가운 느낌이나 기괴함은 거의 보이지 않는다. 퓨네럴 둠치고는 좀 따뜻한 느낌이 강하다.
