따로 설명이 필요하지 않을 정도의 거물급 밴드.
이들의 전작이 우수하지만 이전작품들에 비해서 긴장과 이완을 적절히 잘섞었다는 특징이 있다. 이게 참 말이 쉽지. 쉬운게 아니지...

Barney의 하수구에서 오수가 역류하는 것을 방불케 하는 야만적이고 거친 그로울링과 1,2집의 우리가 아는 그라인드코어식 무자비한 진행을 허용하고도 절제적이면서 끓어오르는 분노를 표출하는 멜로디는, 이들이 카르카스와 함께 그라인드코어의 질주감과 데스 메탈의 기교를 접목시킨 음악의 첨병일 수 있었던 이유를 앨범 내내 포효하며 우리를 이해시킨다.

Most Napalm Death releases pump me up no matter how much I listen to it. This album, Fear, Emptiness, Despair, shows a rather organic/organized sound, but still is no exception.
