Much of what I hate in this style of Metal is present here. Riffless, repetitive chugging. Absolutely void of emotion or feeling. Dissonance, discordance, unpleasantness.

They have a long and quite dependable discography, and this early one didn't disappoint, even though it's far from my favorite. Too many songs on this album end with a boring fade-out. If that wasn't true I might have considered a higher score.

훗날 젠트로 분류되는 그런 앨범으로 보아 70점을 주기에는 아까운 것 몇 가지. 상식을 뛰어넘어 음악이기를 거부하는 기타솔로들. 마지막 곡 Elastic에서의 5분 신디사이저. 기타/드럼/베이스라는 고전적인 분류법을 무의미하게 만드는 4곡 동시재생. 한계를 뛰어넘어 새로운 음악을 만들어 낸 그들의 실험정신. 그리고 결국 메탈은 소음의 역사였다는 깨달음.

What a madness! All the beats are fucking tight and tasty.Though there are some likeable features you can enjoy, I don't recommend Chaosphere that much. because I know there're so many Meshuggah haters in this website, you know(Yet I'm not angry at them).

이 음반 처음 듣고.. 응? 이게 뭐지? 했던 기억이... 내 취향도 너무~ 아닐뿐 더러 친해지고 싶은 여지가 없는 음반... 막귀 소리 듣더라도 솔직히 난 이해 못하는 음악.

All the tracks sound the same. These Djent songs get really really old after a few minutes. Sometimes it's sweet listening to the riff flow and song unflold, especially the first half of the album before you get bored.

익숙해지기 힘든 음악임엔 분명하다. 그러나 어느 정도 익숙해지면 해괴한 사운드 안에도 질서와 법칙이 존재함을 느낄 수 있다. 그냥 아무렇게나 소리를 싸갈긴 소음이 아닌, 일정한 틀 안에서 정교하게 쪼개고 조합한 사운드라 그걸 발견하는 맛을 느낄 수 있다.

요새 메슈가얘기가 나와서 한번 다시들어봤다. 두번다시 듣고 싶지않은 일회용 앨범이고 이걸 이해못해서 초심자 소릴 들어야 한다면 평생 초심자로 살겠다
