점점 발전하는 모습을 보이는 Lords of Black은 이번 앨범에서 긴 곡을 가지고 실험을 많이 했다. 사실 프로그레시브 스타일이 아닌 만큼, 복잡한 리프나 멜로디는 없어서 자칫 단조롭고 금방 질릴 수 있었으나, 로메로의 무시무시한 보컬만으로 이 단점을 상쇄하고 오히려 장엄한 아우라까지 뿜어내고 있다. Still Of The Night 을 연상시키는 8번 포함, 1, 5, 12번트랙 추천.

내가 뽑는 젊은 보컬들을 뽑자면 erik gronwall, dino jelusik이 있었는데 여기에 ronnie romero도 넣고 싶다. 각 앨범들도 충분히 뛰어난 곡과 연주를 보여준다. 이건 평가절하된 그룹이라기 보다는 그냥 아직도 왜 한국 리스너들은 모르지? 하는 느낌이다. 물론 한국은 메탈의 볼모지이기에 그렇기도 하지만 모든 앨범 다 추천한다. 꼭 스트리밍이라도 들어보시길!

사운드보다도 이목을 집중시키는건 역시 로니 로메로의 보이스이다. 디오의 전성기 시절의 보이스를 듣는듯한 매우 뛰어난 성량이다. 블랙모어가 로메로를 영입한게 우연이 아님을 알게되었다.
