The Immortal

In Mourning na novinke "The Immortal" opäť kombinujú viac štýlov ako Melodický Death Metal s prvkami Prog., prípadne občas aj Black, Doom alebo Metalcore. Album má dobrý zvuk, podarené nápady a striedanie dvoch spevákov, ktorý spievajú vo viacerých polohách (melodický, rev, growling, atď).

One of the best albums of the year. Progressive, heavy, and with just the right amount of melodies.

Otro muy buen trabajo de la banda sueca In Mourning. En cada trabajo que hacen ponen todo su empeño por hacerlo mejor que el anterior, cosa que no resulta fácil.

In Mourning are a band that have not taken a step wrong and that run continues on “The Immortal” which is another stunning album from the band. It is a gorgeous mix of ferocity, morose atmosphere and strong melodies all wrapped together with progressive touches. This is a high recommendation for fans of Insomnium, Dark Tranquillity, Disillusion and older Opeth

트리플 리듬 기타의 리프 (간간이 섞인 짧은 솔로)와 트윈 그로울링 보컬 (진중한/격정적인 그로울링) + 클린보컬 만으로 공간감이 차고 넘치는 프로그레시브 데스 메탈을 또한번 들려준다. 직전 앨범부터 Björn Pettersson의 격정적인 보컬로 분위기를 끌어가는 몇몇 곡들을 내세워 약간의 실험을 하고있는듯 한데 코어는 동일하다 여겨지며 여전히 훌륭하다.

인모닝 특유의 서정성을 제대로 녹인 작품.

스왈로더선 신보 희망편

이들의 음악 스타일과는 다른 좀 더 정돈된 스타일의 신작. 좋긴 하지만 이들의 전매특허인 특유의 애절한 리프가 약해진 것이 아쉽다. 특히 종종 등장하던 세컨 보컬이 거의 메인 수준으로 들어왔는데 개인적으로 가장 아쉬운 부분이다. 깔끔한 수작이긴 하나 전작에서 보여주던 이들만의 감성을 생각하면 좀 아쉬운 신작. 그래도 3, 4, 5번 트랙은 추천할만하다.

멜로디,서정,격정,테크닉,완급조전,엣모스피릭....이들이 그동안 축척해왔던 것들이 다들어있다. 이들의 음악은 일정 수준이하로 떨어지질 수 없음이 다시 확인된 것 아닐까, 한번밖에 들어보지 못했지만 일단 90점(추후에 다시 리뷰 예정) *일단 4,9번 트랙이 인상에 남는다.
