Rashomon

"Rashomon" hudobne kombinuje viac štýlov: od Metalcore, cez Black, Folk a miestami aj Prog. Je to celkom pestré album, pričom občas jednotlivé pasáže k sebe pasujú viac, inokedy menej. Matt Heafy sa na svojej sólovke snažil zachytiť čo najviac štýlov a nedávať si hranice. Uvidíme, či aj v budúcnosti bude sólovo pokračovať pod rovnakou hlavičkou - Ibaraki alebo je to len ojedinelý záblesk v tme.

Matt Heafy first solo album is quite varied, but sometimes I would say way too much. Some songs are too disjointed and lose their power as a whole. But overall it's a decent album.

A nice mix of progressive, black metal, and metal core, even if the third one is by habit. It's funny that some news claims it's a full black metal album. Rōnin stands out as the masterpiece of this album for me, with Heafy's singing blazing into my heart and it's cool that Ihsahn helps out. Ibaraki-Dōji comes in second. Overall very good.

개성있고 재밌고 힘빼야할 때 잘 빼는 좋은 코어음반 이지만, 내 취향에 안맞는게 있다. 그리고 라쇼몽하면 퀘퀘한 느낌이 있어야할 것 같은데 코어에서 푸니 뭔가 적응이 안되는 개인적인 아쉬움이 있다.

프로그레시브 + 코어. Trivium의 음악과는 꽤 다름. 음반의 완성도와는 별개로 개인적으로 취향에 전혀 맞지 않는 관계로 감상이 고역이었음.

현 메탈씬의 최정점이자 미래를 제시한 앨범. 믹싱 중 가장 빡세다는 메탈+오케스트레이션 조합에다 비장미를 살린 절제된 악곡이 만나 최대의 시너지를 일으켜 듣는 내내 활기찬 에너지에 취하다가 뽕짝스러운 마지막 마무리까지 그야말로 완ㅋ벽ㅋ 그리고 트리비움 리더가 일본계 미국인이라는 걸 처음 알았다.

Rashomon is a good album to be honest but kinda boring in the second half It has a lot of cool elements, especially progressive I recommend this album
