I really respect Gorguts for following the conventions of old school death metal in its early days, seeing as they are conventions that have tons of musical value built into them. Later the band had their own more original ideas, and they made a clear break from this style to start the dissodeath phenomenon. The 2 stages of their career are both great successes if you ask me. This album, from song structure, to guitar tone and all else, is just fantastic.

초기 Suffocation 과 Cancer 의 향기를 뿜어내는 올드스쿨 데스메탈의 걸작.. 탁월한 완급조절과 휘몰아치면서도 묵직하게 찍어누르는 듯한 사운드는 일품, 10번 트랙의 제임스머피 솔로는 또다른 별미~

The early Gorguts style was really alike what had been going on in the Death Metal scene, circa 1991. The sound Gorguts is famous with isn't yet exhibited, and it's rather a standard OSDM feeling. Nevertheless it's really well made and enjoyable.
