언젠가 현대의 데스메탈은 구체화된 이미지를 구축하여 사운드를 이끌어간다고 한 적이 있다. 지금 나오는 수많은 별볼일 없는 쓰레기같은 브루탈 데스메탈이 그러한 사운드를 구축시켜서 그런 것도 있겠지만 실제 그 밴드에 비해 보잘것 없는 씬이지만 그래도 과거의 데스메탈 영광을 이어가려고 하는 하는 밴드가 많이 있다는 것이 그나마 위안이라고 할 수 있다. 현대의 데스메탈에서 가장 필요한 건 전대 밴드들이 만들어놓은 형이상학 적인 데스메탈 사운드를 그대로 계승하면서 현대적인 느낌의 사운드를 이끌어가는 것이 가장 이상적이라고 할 수 있다. 물론 그러한 사운드를 내는 밴드가 얼마나 있겠냐만은 말이다.
90년대 중반 데스메탈과 21세기의 사운드적인 혼합형 데스메탈을 찾으려면 분명 이 밴드는 어느정도 부합될 수 있을지 모르겠다. 이탈리아 3인조 출신의 데스메탈밴드인 이들의 사운드는 분명 90년대 중반의 유럽 데스메탈 밴드들이 가지고 있는 사운드를 모태로 21세기적인 멜로디라인을 구축해놓았다라고 볼 수 있다. 90년도 초반에 밴드가 결성되었지만 10년이 넘는 공백 기간이 있었고 활동은 거의 전무하다시피한 이들이지만 단순히 공백이라고 볼 수 없을 정도로 이들의 사운드는 21세기 데스메탈씬에서 ... See More
