스웨덴 출신의 Heavy Metal 밴드 Europe은 현재까지도 80년대를 누린 록스타로 기록되고 있다. 그러한 기억의 대부분은 이들을 대표하는 명곡 The Final Countdown에서 기인했다고 할 수 있겠다. 이곡은 밴드의 세 번째 앨범에 실려있는 곡으로 Europe을 세계적인 인지도를 가진 밴드로 만들어주었다. 하지만, 이 앨범은 동시에 밴드가 발표한 다른 작품에 대한 관심도 일정부분 제한한 측면도 있다. 이들의 조악한 데뷔 앨범이야 어지간한 팬이 아니라면 그다지 들을 필요가 없는 작품이지만, 두 번째 앨범인 Wings of Tomorrow는 얘기가 달라진다. 이 앨범은 막강한 후속작에 비한다면 퀄리티상에서 확실히 밀리는 작품이긴 하지만, 분명 지나칠 수 없는 매력이 담긴 음반이라 할 수 있다. 몇몇 분들에게 Final Countdown이랑 발라드 잘 하는 밴드라고 알려져 있어서 그런지 여러면에서 평가절하 된 밴드라고 본다. Scream of Anger 같은 곡은 최근 같은 계열에서 나오기 어려운 곡이라고 본다.

Stormwind, Scream Of Anger, Lyin' Eyes 같은 초절정 명곡이 있는 Europe 의 명반. 파이널 카운트다운 앨범하고 이 앨범 두개가 Europe 의 최고작이라고 생각함

European 80's hard rock/heavy metal can gift us some really good and unique albums like Wings of Tomorrow. The furious song Scream of Anger is simply superb, a total overwhelming force, and the best track of the album by far.

표지가 마음에 들어서 그 당시 레코드점에 나오자마자 구매했던 추억의 앨범.. 음악 자체보다는 John Norum의 기타연주에 푹빠져버린 시절의 기억.. Wings of Tomorrow..

Re-Issue가 되어 국내에도 발매된 앨범이지만 이 전작이 끼친 엄청난 기대감 때문에 좋은 음반임에도 불구하고 푸대접을 받은 앨범. 하지만 나름대로 들을만 하다.
