Europe를 대표하는 명곡 The Final Countdown은 이들의 세 번째 앨범에 실린 타이틀 곡이다. 이 곡을 통해 밴드는 상업적인 성공을 구가하면서 이름을 떨치게 되지만, 밴드의 역사가 The Final Countdown 앨범에서부터 시작된 것은 아니다. Europe의 시작은 엄연히 이들이 데뷔 앨범에서부터 시작된다. 이들의 셀프 타이틀 앨범부터 밴드는 자신들이 지니고 있던 잠재적인 역량을 드러내고 있다. 그러나 이 앨범은 치명적인 단점이 있는데, 이는 대부분의 밴드가 초창기에 겪게 되는 녹음 문제이다. 아마도 활동 초기였으니 Europe는 좋은 녹음현장에서 작업을 하기는 힘들었으리라. 앨범은 다소 열악한 환경에서 제작될 수밖에 없었고 그 결과 내용물에 비해 아쉬운 작품이 만들어 졌다. Europe의 셀프 타이틀 앨범은 비록 음질 면에서 상당한 손실을 입을 수밖에 없었지만, 이 앨범이 좋은 환경에서 만들어 졌다면, 수작이 되었을 것은 분명해 보인다. výborný debut. Už hneď na začiatku obsahoval pár zásadných hitov kapely. Zvuk je ešte skôr old school, preto odporúčam album počúvať dosť nahlas (ak to vadí okoliu, kľudne aj cez slúchadlá). Štýl: Melodický Hard/Glam Rock
