Dimension Zero의 Silent Night Fever는 전통적인 데스 메탈의 어두운 에너지와 강렬한 스래쉬 메탈의 영향을 결합한 작품이다. 특히 이 앨범은 초기 In Flames의 멜로디와 리프 중심의 접근을 잘 녹여내며, 스래쉬 메탈의 속도감과 날카로움을 강조한 점이 두드러진다. Silent Night Fever는 스웨디시 데스 메탈의 특성을 고수하면서도, 그 안에서 좀더 직관적인 음악적 방향을 제시하고 있다. 본작에서 가장 뚜렷하게 드러나는 요소는 역시 스래쉬 메탈의 영향을 강하게 받은 리프들에 있다. 데스 메탈의 어두운 분위기와 빠른 템포를 유지하면서도, 스래쉬 메탈의 날카롭고 직선적인 리프가 중심이 된다. 스래쉬 메탈 특유의 빠르게 질주하는 리프는 음악의 흐름을 일관되게 이끌고 있으며, 각 트랙에서 리프와 드러밍이 맞물리면서 격렬한 에너지를 발산한다. 이 앨범에서 느껴지는 멜로디는 단순한 멜로딕 요소가 아니라, 전통적인 스웨디시 데스 메탈 사운드와 잘 결합된 리프 형식으로, In Flames의 초기 사운드를 잘 재현하고 있다. Colony나 Clayman 같은 In Flames의 최전성기 앨범을 좋아하는 사람들이라면 이 앨범에 호감을 갖기 쉬울 것 같다.

매우 흡족하게 잘 듣고있는 명반 멜데쓰앨범..너무 늦게 알았다. 이 밴드를 알려주신 메킹회원님들께 정말 감사드립니다. 지금이라도 이정도의 사운드로 다시 나와준다면 얼마나 좋을까. 여튼 놓쳐서는 안되는 최고의 멜데쓰다.
