2008년에 발매한 두장의 EP가 완전히 똥이었는데도 불구하고 데뷔앨범에선 멋진 걸작을 발표하였다. 곡 하나하나가 치밀한 구성을 띈 것도 대단하지만, Keyboard의 활용이 가히 뛰어나다고 하고 싶다. 많은 분들이 언급하는 몽환적인 분위기 연출을 이 Keyboard가 제대로된 역할을 함으로서 공간감 확장과 함께 어우러지는 밝은 멜로디의 Vocal line이 극대화 되는 효과를 보여준다. 전반적으로 곡들이 이러한 밝은 분위기로 이어져 있기 때문에 곡마다 비슷하게 들릴 수 있다고 생각을 해도 전혀 그러한 부분없이 각 개별 곡마다 다른 느낌을 받게 끔 신경쓴 흔적이 보인다. Twin vocal이라는 부분도 호불호가 갈릴 수도 있지만, 이 Vocal 활용도를 작곡력으로 매꿔 버리고도 남을 정도로 곡 완성도가 상당히 탄탄하다고 본다. 전체적인 앨범의 유기성 또한 완벽하기에 칭찬이 아깝지 않은 앨범이며, 장르적 특성의 이점을 잘 활용한 훌륭한 명반이다.

학창시절의 동기들이 모여 시작한 밴드인 We Came As Romans는 코어와 프록 데스를 넘나들며 상당히 모던한 색채의 음악을 들려준다. 프록 메탈의 구성보다는 팝적인 클린보컬의 영향으로 인해 모던 멜데스의 감성을 분출하고 있으며, 올드스쿨 메탈보다는 Hope for the Dying과 유사한 멜로딕 메탈코어에 가깝다. 기타의 하쉬보컬과 리드보컬이 지속적으로 교차하며, 해당 지점에서 곡의 분위기가 전환되어 일종의 제어 장치역할을 하는 것으로 보인다. 메탈 특유의 강렬한 금속성 보컬을 좋아하는 리스너라면 밴드의 리드보컬을 듣기가 고역일 수도 있겠으나, 뿌려대는 멜로디 자체는 상당히 수준급이다. EP앨범의 타이틀인 Dreams, 뮤비로 공개된 마지막 트랙 To Move on Is to Grow는 데뷔앨범에서 느껴지는 화려함과 청량감을 가득 담고 있으며, 대부분의 곡에서 다채로운 사운드로 배경을 수놓는 키보드의 사용도 두드러진다.
