둠 메탈 입문작으로 Warning의 Watching from a Distance만큼 손색이 없는 작품도 없을 것 같다. 둠 메탈 특유의 깊이 있는 사운드가 앨범의 시작부터 울려퍼지는 가운데 끊임없이 귀를 사로잡는 멜로디가 항상 자리하고 있다. 전통적인 둠 메탈 사운드와는 거리를 둔 행보라 할 수 있지만, 적어도 이런 작품이 있어야 둠 메탈 같이 어려운 장르에 입문하는 이들도 늘어날 테니, 멜로딕 둠 메탈 밴드들의 역할을 긍정적으로 바라보고 있다. 음악적으로 멜로디가 많이 첨가되면 둠 메탈 답지 않게 경박스럽게 들릴 여지도 있으나, 그런 면모는 본작에서 전혀 드러나고 있지 않다. 오히려 본작에서 소요된 많은 분량의 멜로디 라인이 둠 메탈 특유의 사운드와 만나면서 암울한 분위기를 조성하는데 기여하고 있다. 이 밴드에 대해 다만 아쉬운 점이 하나 있다면 이 앨범이 밴드의 마지막 작품이라는 것이다. 이 정도로 재능있는 밴드가 그리 많은 작품을 남기고 해산하고 말았다는 사실이 아쉽기 그지없다.

멜로딕컬한 둠메틀 적인 느낌이 강한 Warning 2집 입니다. ep앨범을 끝으로 해산했지만 전체적인 둠메틀의 전통적인 방식에 약간 다른 전개를 보여주기도 합니다. 깔끔하며 전체적으로 보이스를 많이 받치는 곡 전개 방식이 원래 알고 있는 처절함과는 먼 편입니다. 둠메틀이라고 하기엔 너무나 멜로디 비중이 상당히 높아서 인지 처음 접하시는 데는 크게 무리가 없다는 점 이 강점으로 보여 집니다.

This album is one of, if not my favorite album. God i honestly just love the pure emotion of this album. Its such a beautiful doom album and i am sad that they never made any more albums. I dont like their first album near as much as this one. Bridges is such an important song to me as is Watching From A Distance. The vocalist is truly amazing and although it may not be for everyone I think its an amazing album and I’m very glad i found it.I love Warning.
