A rather boring and mediocre Grunge album. One track I really like - Tighter & Tighter, some great emotion to that one.

There are a few amazing songs on this album. Most of the rest of the tracks lack the urgency and raw power that most Soundgarden songs tend to have, but even the weakest songs on Down on the Upside are very very interesting and deserve credit. There's a lot of inventive singing and melody-writing and some really thick atmosphere too.
