밴드 그 자체와도 같았던 저항의 메세지와 태도는 세계적인 인기와 상업적 성공, 그리고 잘 빠진 음악과 함께 희석된 이미지로 남았다. 밴드도 팬들도 모두 즐거웠던 한 때로 기억되던 시절이나, 지금까지 더 이상의 정규작은 없었다.

아니 뭔 랩만 들어가면 점수를 이렇게 낮게 주는건지 참 그냥 음악꼰대인건지 모르겠지만 난 RATM 앨범중 1집과 3집을 가장 좋아하는데 그 이유는 2,4집보다 톰 모렐로의 기타가 훨씬 강렬하고 힘차기 때문이다 거기에 마치 일본도같이 날이 서있는 랩과 받쳐주는 베이스와 드럼 정말이 최고다!

랩메탈이라는 이름 아래 나올수있는 예상이가는 뻔한 곡들입니다. 그래도 전작보다는 훨씬 낫습니다. 그곡이 그곡같은, 구성에 있어서의 단조로움은 여전히 피할 수 없었지만, 중독성있는 명리프들을 발견 할 수 있었습니다. 멋졌던 데뷔작과 비슷한 수준이라고 생각합니다. 그 까다로운 피치쉬프터를 적재적소에 잘 활용했다는 점에 높은 점수를 주고싶습니다.

Killing in the Name of라는 곡만 어렴풋이 알던 시절에 묘하게 끌리는 커버에 그냥 충동구입 해버렸던 개인적으로는 입문이 되었던 앨범이다. 탐 모렐로의 기량이 점점 빛을 발하는 앨범.
