Additional notes
Sir Lord Baltimore formed in 1968 by guitarist Louis Dambra, singer and drummer John Garner and bassist Gary Justin. Their initial break came when Garner saw an ad in the "Village Voice" looking for a band to audition for a recording session. Responding to the ad they ended up auditioned for A&R man Mike Appel who decided to take them on. Name "Sir Lord Baltimore" was given to band by Mike Appel, who also helped the band sign with Mercury Records.

Band released two albums in the early seventies before disbanding in 1972 (due to poor sales of their second album, Mercury Records decided to cancel a contract with the band). Five years later the band began recording sessions for a projected third LP but the material was shelved. This material was later used for third album in 2006.

John Garner and Louis Dambra have reunited in 2005 years apart and self-released (on a JG Records) their third album - "Sir Lord Baltimore III Raw".

Sir Lord Baltimore was actually the first band on which the term "Heavy Metal" was used to describe them as a musical genre (album "Kingdom Come" review, Creem, May 1971, by Mike Saunders).
