1. Mass Delusion (5:21)
[Music: Vicinity / Lyrics: Olsen & Lykke]

Is our species past its prime,
or does our breed transcend its time?
We're living in a world that's in full decline
Was there anything to die for?
There's nothing left to strive for,
Endless greed was always our defining line

Why should we care what happens next?
Some have billions, while others are wasting away
The ideal is to care, but we aren't self-aware
Will anything keep our greed at bay?

Will I starve while you are eating?
Is basic lust what is defeating
any common sense that might halt this decline?
All-consuming greed
is ever growing like a weed
Our numbers and our minds can't seem to combine

Why should we care what happens next?
Some have billions, while others are wasting away
The ideal is to care, but we aren't self-aware
Will anything keep our greed at bay?

We're lost without a trace
in oceans of self-deluded praise

We're victims of mass delusion
of those who thrive on mass confusion
Can anything be done to stop our decline?
Contrasts are stark
We're always fumbling in the dark,
when we need to see we have to redefine

Will we wake up some day,
and see what facelessness threw away?
It will watch with despise, as mass delusion dies
Take ine step ahead and open your eyes
2. Opportunities Lost (14:25)
[Music: Vicinity / Lyrics: Schmidt-Melbye & Olsen]

Scenes are shifting, giving no riposte
Thoughts are troubling, in confusion lost
I keep searching, screaming out in the dark
Choices given don't seem to leave their mark
Shrouded masks, the eyes of futures, see me
Still I feel that my eyes fail to see
my sights of regret

Mists keep on churning
Feet find no support
Glass half empty
Time is way too short

Why can't I just break free?
Why can't I let go?
Words are lost to me
My thoughts won't let me be free
Please stop this war inside my head!

Bridges crumble, water closes, pasts remain
Memories of what's been learned are gone

Mists clearing, time to take it slow
From the mirror stare the eyes that never know
How could time just slip away? I could not see
I have to look inside myself to save what's left of me

Dreams are unending, nothing is foretold
A child within awakens, its purpose uncontrolled
While time forever shortens, events will unfold
As rivers keep on running, our stories are told
Thoughts never mentioned, the wishes kept at bay
It seems like our choices are taken away

Rain washing down
from an open, blue sky
It helps me to see
with an unopen eye:
The past is blocked
The more I look, the less I feel I see

Dreams fading, where can I go?
Clouds are taking shapes, and I'm afraid to know
How could time slip away? I could not see
I have to look inside myself to save what's left of me

Dreams are unending, nothing is foretold
A child within awakens, its purpose uncontrolled
While time forever shortens, events will unfold
As rivers keep on running, our stories are told
Thoughts never mentioned, the wishes kept at bay
It seems like our choices are taken away

Rain washing down
from an open, blue sky
It helps me to see
with an unopen eye:
The past is blocked
The more I look, the less I feel I see

My thoughts are ranging
my mind's changing
My words, unspoken
Still I'm unbroken
For now

I try to look in
Discover what's within
open my eyes and I finally feel I see,
I feel like me
My thoughts and actions and all lost intentions
Speak to me!
I can't hear a single sound
Still noise strikes me to the ground
Open up the floodgates
and let out what I need to feel free

Dreams may end, but the future welcomes you
There's no point in chasing shadows in the dark,
no better to be staring at the sun

Rain falling down again:
Show me my own, personal reality

I choose my way

If you keep looking forwards
you may find that your future has passed you by

It is never too late to take back your life
Everything around you will try to follow you into conformity
Stand tall, and face the fact that all you comes at a cost
Opportunities lost
3. Across the River (5:27)
[Music: Vicinity / Lyrics: Kristian Nergård]

Sickened by despair
Your suffering compels you
People knew you were troubled
But no one realized how far you'd gone

No will left to live
When hope faded at last
If you had reached out to someone

They could have
Helped you across the river
Helped you keep your faith in the life you've been given
The need to go on
No one understands how much you struggled
But you need to know
We all need some guidance,
when we feel like we're alone

One selfish choice
No reason for hate
You'd had your fill
You faced what we cannot understand

The pain weighed too much
And you fought it all alone
I never knew this side of you
If we had known,
we could have

Helped you across the river
To keep your faith in the life you've been given
The need to go on
No one understands how much you struggled
But you need to know
We all need some guidance,
when we feel like we're alone

How does the pain become unbearable?
How do you cope with it all?
How did things come this far?
You couldn't hold on, who can blame you?

Let me help you across the river
Helped you keep your faith in the life you've been given
The need to go on
No one understands how much you struggled
But you need to know
We all need some guidance,
when we feel like we're alone
4. Walk All the Way (11:42)
[Music: Vicinity / Lyrics: Olsen]

We embark on this journey
We don't know where we're going
You can't follow in the footsteps I've made

My victories and pains
biological chains
shape my path, my mind

The bonds that I tie
that last till I die
What is home?
Who am I?

I see sail an early morning
Little did I know of mourning
Elemental needs, uncertain creeds

Eyes open, mind closed
Time passes quickly, when is it too late?
Recognize, Realize

Ocean as far as I can see
No compass in my hand
Currents carry me into the unknown

My victories and pains
biological chains
shape my path, my mind

The bonds that I tie
that last till I die
What is home? Who am I?

Walk all the way
See the unbelievers pray
priests that have no faith
Seize the day
No matter what will come your way
you must carry on

Mountains up ahead
The tides have taken me to a place I knew
I feared, I would reach
Way too soon, didn't know
What to do, where to now?
My own faith
My own mistakes
My dues

The sun was climbing as I hit land
Not exactly as I planned
I've journeyed far, to the nearest star

Eyes closed, mind open
Time is racing, what am I facing?
Walking up, growing up

What I learn each day will bring me
closer to an understanding
My own way, leave or stay

Eyes opening, mind watching
Time is both my friend and foe
Where is home? Who am I?

Storms will try and tear your sails
Rain and clouds are blocking out the sun
Narcissus is losing hold
Life will unfold

Storms will try and tear your sails
Open skies are letting in the sun
Narcissus is losing hold
Life will unfold

I see my way out
Moving on, growing up, will help me, hurt me
teach me and let me live my life, share my soul
chasing out the shadows from my heart

The journey is at its end
Now I know where I have been
I decided where my trail would end

My victories and pains
biological chains
shape my path, my mind

The bonds that I tie
that last till I die
What is home? Who am I?

Walk all the way
See the unbelievers pray
priests that have no faith
Seize the day
No matter what will come your way
you must carry on

No matter what will come
We must carry on
5. The Time for Change (6:10)
[Music: Vicinity / Lyrics: Lykke]

This is the call
of what used to be
The dying breath
of what wasinside of me

Has the time come for change?
It's hard to believe,
when you've been this estranged

I have no control
Nothing seems to soothe my soul
Where is my kin?
Will they ever know where I've been?

Is this supposed to be my redemption?
Is this supposed to be the way?
In my mind there can be no exemption
Is this the start of my decay?

No one can force me to live
No one can lend me more to give
I will just defy your helping hand
I can't live my life the way you planned

Is this supposed to be my redemption?
Is this supposed to be the way?
In my mind there can be no exemption
Is this the start of my decay?

It's back
I'm slowly rising again
To rise,
do you grasp the sword or the pen?
Tonight,
do I feel or get by?
This path,
does it answer how or why?
This time,
will we be buried or fly
The deep,
do we abide it or die?

Do you suppose this is my redemption?
Is this supposed to be the way?

This is supposed to be my redemption!
This is supposed to be the way!
The ways of the mind can know no exemption
This can be the start of my decay
6. Awakening (11:26)
[Music: Vicinity / Lyrics: Lykke]

You know I woke up one day
And saw the world with new eyes
I know, I broke free one day
I rid myself of the lies

I am responsible, and therefore I am free
We open our eyes ourselves
And therefore we can see
Always looking, for something else
To make a change:

To give answer to ur longing
And try to settle our mind
The search seems neverending
And what are we supposed to find?

Open your eyes
You'll see fire spring from ashes
And you'll realize
This time death is a friend
The war goes on
And how is this supposed to end?

Now we're here!
I waited for this moment

Eyes scanning, hearts racing, nowhere to hide
There was never any way to avoid this wild ride

You can never be totally sure
That you'll never fall again
Especially when your mind
Seldom proves your friend

Life in peril: My destiny? Will I stand tall? Will I fall?

Whatever the cost was live paid it now
Now the time has come to me to be free

We need an answer to our longing
To try to settle our mind
The search seems neverending
And what are we supposed to find?

Open your eyes
You'll see fire spring from ashes
And you'll realize
This time death is a friend
The war goes on
And how is this supposed to end?

In the end it all comes together
Like clouds in the unbroken sky
Some things seem to last forever
And still we remember
All the things that we've been through
Like clouds above my head
Be they black or white
They remind me of me and you
