Additional notes
INNER SANCTUM (UK)
After the initial line up variations customary when seeking to establish the ultimate band formation - INNER SANCTUM evolved into one of the most promising melodic technical metal outfits in the British isles. Drawing off influences, such as Atheist, Watchtower, Deathrow, Believer, Deadly Blessing- (to name a few)- combining power and ferocity with the complexity of technical thrash, INNER SANCTUM created a uniqueness once (lightheartedly) labeled as "the thinking man's Metal"
The culmination of innovative, talented musicians and a vocalist possessing a wide vocal power and range, propelled INNER SANCTUM to the fore of their field.
From the first recording "Fear is life's Blood" (1989), the stunning "Static Veins" demo (1991), brutal "Sensorium" Demo (1992) INNER SANCTUM continually progressed, feeding off each others capabilities and pushing themselves to acheive excellence.
Supporting thrash legends EXODUS (Classic line up), Dead on and top U.K bands of the time funk thrashers Atom Seed, Scat Opera & folk metallers Skyclad etc- showed INNER SANCTUM's ability to appeal to the most diverse audiences.
The songwriting continued to mature- with the releases of the melodic & technical "Shine" demo (1993) & the dark technical intensity of the "Questions?" six tracks E.P (1994). Ending with the melodic & progressive "Knowledge At Hand" (1995)
INNER SANCTUM made their mark in the technical metal world- recieving rave reviews from world magazines, radio stations, fanzines etc through dedication & endless trips to the post office with tapes in packages for around the globe. (years before the internet existed)
