핀란드의 두 거장 Satanic Warmaster와 Archgoat의 스플릿.
둘 다 기존 곡들 (archgoat은 무슨 베스트앨범 컴필레이션같은)을 2015년 4, 5월달에 재녹음하여 Satanic Metal Temple과 Temple Of The BlackMoon 이라는 타이틀로 각각의 cd에 담았다. 발매는 2015년도에 되었으며 내가 가진 것은 2016년 재발매반으로 원래는 각각의 밴드 로고가 보라색이었는데 은색으로 바뀐 버전이다.
사실 요근래에 워낙 Archgoat를 집중적으로 들었던지라 깔끔한 재녹음이라 해도 이 스플릿에서는 Satanic Warmaster에 좀 더 귀가 간다. Wolves Of Blood And Iron의 완벽한 멜로디 뿐만 아니라 내가 그렇게나 사랑하는 Pest(당연히 수많은 동명 밴드 중 Satanic Warmaster가 하는 핀란드의 Pest이다.)의 곡 커버가 들어가 있기 때문이다.
Pest의 컴필레이션에 담긴 블랙/스래쉬 명곡들 중에서 꼭 고르라 한다면 Satanic Winter와 Possessed Wolves Howling 두 곡을 꼽는데 (사실 미묘하게 Possessed Wolves Howling에 한 표이다. 마치 생각지도 못 한 곳에서 나오는 그 옛날 정통 NWOBHM의 기타솔로에 뿅 갔던 Megadeth의 She wolf가 주었던 만큼의 뽕삘 솔로가 일품이다.) 그 중 Satanic Winter가 이 스플릿에 커버로 들어가 있다니... 아는 사람은 아는 재미이다.

아트워크 굿. Satanic Warmaster 는 취향이 아니고 Archgoat 의 최고 명반이라고 생각하는 Angelcunt (Tales of Desecration) ep 앨범등은 오리지날 버전이 너무 좋기에 수록된 재녹음 버전이 크게 끌리지는 않는.

스플릿은 그다지 끌리지 않는데 Archgoat 땜시 구입해서 들어봤는데 역시나 선택이 틀리지 않았다 전에 나온 정규작보다 훨씬 좋게들었다 스피디한 전개방식도 맘에들고 구할수 있을때 구해들어야함 ^^
