프라이머스는 아마도 악기를 다루는 연주자들이 좋아할만한 팀이다. 특히 베이스. 이들의 음악은 일반적인 락음악의 형식미를 따르는 곡이 별로 없기 때문에 듣는 입장에서 공감대를 갖기 쉽지 않다. 이런 음악적 자유분방함은 오히려 재즈팬들에게 더 설득력 있게 다가갈지도 모르겠다. 이들의 음악에서 재미의 포인트를 찾는 것은 결국 듣는 사람들의 몫이다.
