세운상가에서 무서운 형님들을 뚫고 가서 빽판으로 들었음. 나중에 CD로 들었는데 빽판이 오히려 음질이 더 좋았습니다 ㅎㅎ. Critical Mass는 정말 명곡

다시 데뷔 앨범처럼 하드코어 펑크 냄새 물씬 풍기는 아주 스트레이트한 곡들로 가득 채워진 앨범입니다. 곡의 수준은 데뷔앨범보다 좋습니다만 녹음이 너무 러프하게 되서 아쉽습니다.

스래쉬 매탈이 하드코어펑크의 양분을 받았다는 이유를 이 앨범을 통해서 알게됬었다. 개인적으로 4번트랙의 완급조절과 함께 5번트랙의 전주와 리프는 와 진짜 머리를 흔들수밖에 없다.

My 7965th most played album. Giving this another listen after 15 years I gave it a low rating then still can't like it. Stuff like this is what killed metal in my opinion. Thanks to Godsmack for bring some musicality back.

지금 다시 들어보니 분명 재평가 되어야할 앨범이 분명했다!!.. 리프 메이킹과 적절하게 내지르는 보컬의 조합이 착착 귀에 늘러 붙는다.. 노이지한 기타톤을 두툼하고 클린하게 수정한다면 과연 이 앨범은 어찌 될까에 대한 궁금증까지 +5점..
